So, not only did he influence my early guitar playing he also opened my ears to the blues and I made a point of hearing Robert Johnson, BB King, Buddy Guy, Alber Collins, Muddy Waters, Albert King (he's my favourite bluesman) and many more. I continue to enjoy these so much, especially the 1st two I name here. Then of course, other albums followed - which I enjoyed playing time and time again. I'd not really heard much blues at that age (I was 17) but started to get into it from then on and I bought the only RC album that Woolworths had on the shelves at that moment which was Bad Influence. The sound of the guitar was out of this world - so much 'bite' and a far cry from people like Clapton/Cream and the rock music I was getting into, with all its distortion and so on. One of the best albums I'd ever heard, to date. I'd just bought a sunburst Fender Stratocaster copy and saw on the inlay that he played a Strat (and it looked like mine ) so that got my attention and I liked souly music and thought he had a great voice as well. Started listening to RC in early '87 when my brother showed me his cassette of Strong Persuader.
